Called Penmilne speculatively with a general enquiry about EV chargers. Beverley was so helpful and informative, answering all my questions and more. It was great to speak to someone so knowledgeable and friendly and without any "hard-sell" and to know they are a local family business. EV CHARGER HITCHIN: From start to finish Penmilne/evchargeinstallers.com have been superb in regard to sourcing and fitting an EV charger. They (actually Beverley) happily looked into options I was considering for an EV charger, but also recommended three of their favoured options, resulting in a very clear (and competitive ! ) quote for the equipment and labour with an assurance there would be no hidden extras. The installation was fast and efficient and Mark, the electrician, was not only very personable but also very clear in what and how he was going to effect the installation. Highly recommended, and they are in my book for any future electrical work.

High Point Flats Hitchin – Rewire & Electric Heating Installation
We chose Penmilne to complete a rewiring of a recently-purchased flat; it was not a particularly straight-forward project, and Barry and his team were extremely helpful in advising us on the best course of action. Everyone was very patient with our numerous questions and some small changes that we wished to make. Their work was of a high standard, and we were impressed by how clean and tidy the flat was when they had finished. I would not hesitate to use the company again for any future electrical work, and would recommend them highly.

EV Charger - Wallbox Pulsar Plus:
EV Penmilne installed a Wallbox Pulsar Plus charger for us. The overall level of service from start to finish was excellent and I would be happy to recommend them to others. The access to the main electricity box from our garage was not straightforward but, instead of having to dig a trench they suggested an overhead solution which suited our purposes better. The installation was very neat and as unobtrusive as was possible. Their fitting was prompt, tidy and they made sure it was always in line with what we wanted. I would be happy to recommend them to others

Electrical Inspection Tenanted Properties:
Excellent service. I highly recommend Penmilne. Arrangements were made with either the agent or the tenants for a suitable time for an appointment for the EICR to take place. The engineer turned up on time suitably protected with PPE, as required during these COVID-19 times. Interestingly, at the new build property they found that the smoke alarm system although appearing to be operational, had not been wired correctly, if at all? between floors, I was notified immediately, and a suitable time was again put in place for the engineers to replace 3 smoke alarms and to link them to the existing CO2 detector in order to ensure my tenants are safe. They were very efficient, time effective and conscientiously tidied up after re-drilling the fittings, no remnants of plaster or dust left. Very impressive. The price was very reasonable compared to other quotes and I received the certificates within 24 hours. Thank you I will certainly use them again.

Electrical Inspection prior to purchase of property:
We found our ideal property, unfortunately the house-buyer survey highlighted electrical issues which required investigation, we needed this done quickly. Penmilne were really helpful, they liaised directly with the estate agents and carried out a full electrical inspection on the property, providing all the information/costings for fixing the electrical issues at the bungalow. Once we move into the property we will definitely be using Penmilne again. .
